Formichi is a company which produces classical
Italian style furniture and made to measure interior architecture
like boiseries, false ceilings and more ... The woodwork is
carried out using manual artisan technniques both
in the construction and the finishes.
'Formichi' was
founded in 1960 as a handicraft workshop producing wooden
picture frames. The production expanded to include the
manufacture of classic furniture made entirely in solid Italian
walnut.
During the years Formichi invested
in the expansion and modernization of the production processes.
In the early 1980s Formichi began to produce
custom-fitted furnishings in walnut and various
lacquered finishes, quickly becoming a market leader
in reliability, quality and flexible production.
As a result of this, Formichi changed
the location of its premises in 1999, tripling its production
area and introducing to the market separate
furniture lines, each representing a different style,
but all characterized by wood workmanship carried
out with manual artisan techniques both in the construction and
in the finishes. Always aware of worldwide trends,
today the company, more than ever, is a groundbreaker
in the area of classic Italian furniture, both conventional and custom-made.
At Formichi, wood
is a tradition. National Walnut, European Cherry,
and Slavish Ash are only some of the precious solid
woods which, together with other wooden components, are used
in the production of our furniture.
In order to preserve the characteristic careful craftsmanship which
a piece of solid wood furniture requires, the
use of industrialized processes in our production is limited,
thus giving a very important role to the human figure who constructs
the precious furnishings which surround the life of the person
who chooses a Formichi product,
a high human value for a high quality of life!
